1. The applicant seeks special leave to appeal from a judgment of the Court of Appeal of the Supreme Court of Victoria (Walker, Taylor and Boyce JJA) dismissing an appeal from orders of the Supreme Court of Victoria (Beach JA), which refused the applicant's application for bail.

2. Special leave to appeal in respect of a decision concerning bail will only be granted in exceptional cases. This is not such a case. Otherwise, the proposed appeal has insufficient prospects of success to warrant a grant of special leave.

3. Special leave to appeal is refused.
