There was no appearance from Mr Gaffney when this matter was called. He has filed no submissions. The Court is satisfied that the appeal against conviction and sentence has not been shown to have any merit and it is accordingly dismissed.
It is ordered that Mr Gaffney is to recommence his sentence of six months periodic detention by reporting to the New Plymouth Periodic Detention Centre on 4 November 2000 at 9.00am and thereafter as specified by the Warden.
