JUDGMENT OF THE COURT

Bail pending appeal is granted on the conditions set below.

REASONS OF THE COURT

(Given by Glazebrook J)

  1. At the conclusion of the hearing yesterday Mr Shaw renewed Mr Reddy’s application for bail.  We are satisfied that the application should be granted for the reasons explained at the hearing.  There was no opposition from the Crown

  2. We thus grant that application on the following conditions:

(a)Mr Reddy is to reside at 19 Orton Street, Wairau Valley, North Shore City;

(b)Mr Reddy is subject to a 24 hour curfew.

(c)Mr Reddy is not to communicate or contact or attempt to communicate or contact either directly or indirectly with the victim, [GK] (who is also known as [BJ]);

(d)Mr Reddy is not to associate with co-offenders Tania Aziz, Vaiulu Luatua, Vincent Suifua, Augustus Ah-Chong and Kain Shaw whilst on bail.
