COMMISSIONER OF POLICE v JOYCE [2025] NZHC 1117 [9 May 2025]

[1]I make the following orders with reasons to follow:

Restraining order under ss 21(1) and 24A of the Act

(a)The following property shall not be disposed of or dealt with, by any person other than as provided for in this order, and is to be under the Official Assignee’s custody and control:

(i)2011 Harley Davidson VRSCF Muscle V-Rod  motorcycle including ignition keys, registration C2UBY, registered person Jordan Lee Joyce.

Further order to empower entry to property under ss 22(3), 33, 34 and 35 of the Act

(b)Provided  there  are  reasonable  grounds  to   believe   that   the Harley Davidson or its ignition keys will be located on or in a property, members of the police and of the Official Assignee’s office may go onto and  into  the  property  to  take  custody  and  control   of   the   Harley Davidson or its ignition keys.
