THE COMMISSIONER OF POLICE V DICKSON & ORS HC AK CIV-2012-404-002574 [31 May 2012]

[1]      Pursuant to the Mutual Assistance in Criminal Matters Act 1992 and The Criminal Proceeds (Recovery) Act 2009, the Commissioner seeks registration of a Restraining Order made by the New South Wales Supreme Court on 26 April 2012.

[2]      An interim Foreign Restraining Order was made without notice by Venning J

on 11 May 2012.   Mr Downs has sought an order for registration for a period of

21 days to enable a copy of the Foreign Restraining Order to be filed with the Registrar.    In  that  event,  the  Restraining  Order  will  remain  registered  in  New Zealand until 1 June 2014.

[3]      On  the  basis  of  the  affidavit  evidence  filed  and  the  memorandum  of submissions by counsel for the applicant, being satisfied that it is proper to do so, I make the orders in terms of the Draft Orders dated 31 May 2012 filed by counsel for the Crown.
