Introduction

[1]                  I heard Mr Cassidy’s appeal against a sentence of two years and four months’ imprisonment imposed following his guilty pleas to charges of aggravated robbery, assault, burglary, possession of cannabis for sale, selling cannabis and the unlawful use of a firearm.

[2]                  The appeal against sentence is allowed. The sentence of imprisonment is quashed. In substitution I impose a sentence of eight months’ home detention to be served at the approved address with the special conditions as recommended in the Provision of Advice to Courts report dated 20 September 2024.
