ALAN IVO GREER

v

THE QUEEN

Court:Blanchard and Wilson JJ

Judgment:9 May 2008

JUDGMENT OF THE COURT

THE APPLICATION FOR LEAVE TO APPEAL AGAINST REFUSAL OF BAIL IS DISMISSED.

REASONS

[1]       Mr Greer has applied for leave to appeal against a decision of O’Regan J for the Court of Appeal[1] refusing him bail which he sought pending that Court’s decision on an appeal which he had lodged against a sentence of imprisonment.

[1] [2008] NZCA 90, CA 196/06, 17 April 2008.

[2]       The Court of Appeal has now dismissed that sentence appeal.[2]  The application is therefore redundant and is dismissed.

[2] [2007] NZCA 518, CA 179/06, re-issued 7 May 2008.
