and Acclimatisation Gardens at South Perth.

management of a committee of six members, to be called the " Acclimatisation Committee," three of whom shall be the trustees for the time being, and three shall be appointed from time to time by the Governor, and shall hold office for not longer than three years. The Governor may appoint any member of the committee to be the President thereof.

quorum for the transaction of business.

The Governor may remove any member of the committee ;

and any member so removed, if a trustee, shall thereupon cease to be

a trustee.

THE public shall be admitted to the said gardens every day, between such hours, and upon such payment for admission, and otherwise, as the committee may prescribe: Provided that the committee may reserve any part or parts of the said gardens ; and may temporarily close the said gardens whenever they may think fit to do so, on notice to be advertised in some newspaper circulating in Perth.

THE trustees may from time to time raise, by way of mortgage, a sum or sums of money, not exceeding in the aggregate £5,000, upon security of the lands, buildings, and other property vested in and to be acquired by them, under the provisions of this Act.

Power to mortgage.

ALL moneys raised by mortgage under the powers afore- said, after payment thereout of all reasonable expenses attending such mortgage, shall be applied in the improvement of the said gardens for zoological, acclimatisation, or recreation purposes, in the erection, maintenance, and repair of buildings, in the planting of trees and shrubs, and in the permanent improvement of the said gardens: Provided that no mortgagee shall be bound or required to see to the application of such moneys, nor be affected by the misapplication or non-application thereof.

THE committee shall have all the powers and authorities conferred by the Parks and Reserves Act, 1895, upon a Board of

Parks and Reserves to make, repeal, and alter By-laws for the management, conservation, and use of the said gardens, and to impose and enforce penalties for the breach or non-observance of any such By-laws in manner prescribed by the said Act.
