Part 1—Preliminary

1—Short title

These regulations may be cited as the Youth Justice Administration Variation Regulations 2019.

2—Commencement

These regulations come into operation on the day on which they are made.

3—Variation provisions

In these regulations, a provision under a heading referring to the variation of specified regulations varies the regulations so specified.

Part 2—Variation of Youth Justice Administration Regulations 2016

4—Variation of regulation 18—Application of section 21A of Act

  1. Regulation 18(1)(c)—delete paragraph (c) and substitute:

    (c)a registered health practitioner to whom section 11 of the Children's Protection Law Reform (Transitional Arrangements and Related Amendments) Act 2017 applies;

  2. Regulation 18(1)(d)—delete paragraph (d) and substitute:

    (d)a registered teacher to whom section 9 of the Children's Protection Law Reform (Transitional Arrangements and Related Amendments) Act 2017 applies;

  3. Regulation 18(4)—delete subregulation (4) and substitute:

    (4)Subregulation (2) will expire 12 months after the day on which it comes into operation.

    (4a)Subregulation (3) will expire 2 years after the day on which it comes into operation.

Note—

As required by section 10AA(2) of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1978, the Minister has certified that, in the Minister's opinion, it is necessary or appropriate that these regulations come into operation as set out in these regulations.
