1—Short title

These regulations may be cited as the Youth Court (Fees) Variation Regulations 2008.

2—Commencement

These regulations will come into operation on 1 July 2008.

3—Variation provisions

In these regulations, a provision under a heading referring to the variation of specified regulations varies the regulations so specified.

Regulation 5(1)—delete "the Schedule" and substitute

Schedule—delete the Schedule and substitute:

Schedule 1—Fees

On commencement of proceedings for summary applications, summary offences, minor indictable offences or indictable offences

$141.00 plus if the complaint or information alleges more than 1 offence—$31.25

On application for an adoption order under the Adoption Act 1988

$109.00

For making an enforcement order under the Expiation of Offences Act 1996

$141.00

For copy of evidence

$5.20 per page

For copy of reasons for judgment

Note—

A party to proceedings is entitled to 1 copy of the reasons without charge.

For copy of any other document

$3.20 per page

For computer disc containing record of court proceedings (including reasons for judgment)

The fee that would be payable under these regulations for a printed copy of the record of the proceedings plus $81.50 for each day or part of a day on which the proceedings were recorded

For production of transcript at request of a party where the Court does not require the transcript

$10.40 per page

As required by section 10AA(2) of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1978, the Minister has certified that, in the Minister's opinion, it is necessary or appropriate that these regulations come into operation as set out in these regulations.
