The object of this Regulation is to make an amendment consequential on the restructuring of the NSW regulation-making power).

1 Name of Regulation
This Regulation is the Young Offenders Amendment (Restructuring of NSW Police
Force) Regulation 2018.
2 Commencement
This Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the NSW legislation website.
3 Amendment of Young Offenders Regulation 2016
Clause 4 Notification of referrals
Omit clause 4 (1). Insert instead:
(1) If the DPP or a court refers a matter involving a child who is alleged to have committed an offence to a conference administrator for a conference under section 40 of the Act, the DPP or court must notify, in writing, one of the following persons who commands an area or district in which the offence was alleged to have occurred:
(a) the Police Area Commander of the police area command, (b) the Police District Commander of the police district.
