Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to prescribe certain sexual offences under the Crimes Act 1900, enacted by the Criminal Legislation Amendment (Child Sexual Abuse) Act 2018, as offences that are not covered by the
Young Offenders Act 1997.
This Regulation is made under the Young Offenders Act 1997, including sections 8 (2) (g) and 73 (the general regulation-making power).

1 Name of Regulation
This Regulation is the Young Offenders Amendment (Exempted Sexual Offences)
Regulation 2019.
2 Commencement
This Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the NSW legislation website.
3 Amendment of Young Offenders Regulation 2016
Clause 13A
Insert before clause 14:
13A Offences not covered by Act An offence under section 61KC, 61KD, 61KE, 61KF, 66DA, 66DB, 66DC, 66DD or 66DE of the Crimes Act 1900 is prescribed for the purposes of section 8 (2) (g) of the Act.
