YOUNG OFFENDERS ACT 1997 No 54—PROCLAMATION

Gordon Samuels, Governor.

I, the Honourable Gordon Samuels AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Young Offenders Act 1997, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 6 April 1998 as the day on which the uncommenced provisions of that Act commence.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Proclamation is to commence the uncommenced provisions of the

Young Offenders Act 1997. Sections 60, 61, 70 and 73 of that Act. and Schedule 1 to that

Act. commenced on 28 November 1997.
