Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament

assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1. THIS Act may be cited as the York-Greenhills Railway

Short title.

Act, 1896.

2. IT shall be lawful to construct and maintain a Railway from

conveniences in connection therewith, in the line described in the

Schedule to this Act.

Deviation.

3. IT shall be lawful for the Commissioner of Railways to

deviate from the line as described in such Schedule, to the extent of

five miles on either side thereof.

to this Act.

SCHEDULE.

YORK-GREENHILLS RAILWAY.

DESCRIPTION OF LINE OF RAILWAY.

Commencing at a point in or near York townsite, and proceeding thence in a generally South-East by Southerly direction for about 44 miles ; thence in a generally Easterly direction for about 13* miles, and terminating at a point in or near Government Reserve No. 835, as more particularly delineated by a red line on Map marked P.W.D., WA., 4905, deposited as provided for by 55° Victorim, No. 34, Section 10. Total length about 18 miles.
