WYANGALA DAM ACT.

An Act to sanction the construction of a dam across the Lachlan River at Wyangala ; to amend the Public Works Act, 1912 ; and for purposes- connected therewith. [Assented to, 16th June, 1928.]

"Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of
the same, as follows :—-1 . This Act may he cited as the "Wyanga la Dam Act, 1928."
2 . (1) The carrying out of the work described in the Schedule to this Act is hereby sanctioned.
(2) The Water Conservation and Irrigation Com mission, constituted under the Irrigation Act, 1912- 1926, is empowered to carry out the said work, and for that purpose shall be and shall have the powers of a Constructing Authority within the meaning of the Public Works Act, 1912.
3 . The plan of the said work is the plan marked " Lachlan River—Plan showing position of proposed Wyangala Dam," sealed with the Seal of the Water Conservation and Irrigation Commission and signed by the Commissioners constituting the said Commission, and deposited in the head office of the said Commission.
4 . The cost of carrying out the said work is estimated at one million three hundred and fifty-two thousand pounds.

SCHEDULE.
A CONCRETE dam across the Laclilan River about 6 miles below the junction of the Abercrombie River, of lieight sufficient to store about 1273,694 acre-feet of water, with spillway,and outlets for the discharge of water including those required for hydro-electric purposes.
