HEREAS it is expedient to amend The Wreck Act, 1887 ' :

consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows :—

Short title

1. This Act may be cited for all purposes as The Wreck Act,

1889.'

Amendment of

the third section

2. The third section of The Wreck Act, 1887,' shall be and is `Provided also that no investigation shall be held in respect of a casualty (other than a collision with a British ship) happen-

hereby amended by the insertion of the following proviso after the

word Colony,' at the end of the tenth line of the said section :-
