World Youth Day Act 2006

Her Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the World Youth Day Act 2006.

Explanatory note
Section 15A of the World Youth Day Act 2006 (Minister may direct government agencies to co-operate) provides that the Minister administering the World Youth Day Act 2006 (currently the Deputy Premier) may direct a prescribed government agency to comply with a request, direction or decision of the World Youth Day Co-ordination Authority made or given under that Act.
The object of this Regulation is to prescribe the Council of the City of Sydney as a
government agency for the purposes of that section.
This Regulation is made under the World Youth Day Act 2006, including sections 15A and

58 (the general regulation-making power).

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the World Youth Day Amendment (Government
Agency Co-operation) Regulation 2008.

2 Amendment of World Youth Day Regulation 2008

The World Youth Day Regulation 2008 is amended as set out in
Schedule 1.

Clause 2A

Insert after clause 2:

2A Prescribed government agencies for the purposes of section 15A
of the Act

The Council of the City of Sydney is prescribed for the purposes of section 15A of the Act.
