I, SIR NINIAN MARTIN STEPHEN, the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council and in pursuance of sub-section 8 (3) of the World Heritage Properties Conservation Act 1983, being satisfied that the Aboriginal site, being the open site of ice-age occupation at the base of the flying-fox pylon on the west bank of the Franklin River at approximately Latitude 42° 28’ 02” S, Longitude 145° 45’ 51” E, is likely to be damaged or destroyed, hereby declare that site to be a site to which section 11 of that Act applies.
