2 Workplace Health and Safety (Notifiable Projects) Notice No. 97, 1992 ˙ Short title 1. This notice may be cited as the Workplace Health and Safety (Notifiable Projects) Notice 1992 . ˙ Commencement 2. This notice takes effect on 1 July 1992. ˙ Notice repealed 3. The notice under section 19 of the Workplace Health and Safety Act1989 published in the Industrial Gazette on 17 February 1990 is repealed. ˙ Notifiable projects 4. A project (other than one specified in the Schedule where it relates to a type of building or structure specified in the Schedule) is a notifiable project for the purposes of the Act. ¡ SCHEDULE PART 1 Type of project Maintenance, removal. Type of building or structure Any building or structure.

3 Workplace Health and Safety (Notifiable Projects) Notice No. 97, 1992 PART 2 Type of project Construction, digging, filling, erection, installation, additions, alterations, repair, cleaning, painting, renewal, dismantling, demolition. Type of building or structure 1. A temporary or demountable stage, stand, seating or equipment, associated with a concert, play, performance, public address or similar event. 2. Electrical transmission and distribution lines. 3. A ship or floating structure. 4. Parking areas, cycle paths, traffic lights, roundabouts, street and highway lighting, road resurfacing, kerbing and channelling. 5. Railways and tramways (including overhead power lines and signals). 6. Roads, highways or playing fields involving— (a) digging to a depth of less than 4.5 m; or (b) filling to a height above the lowest original ground level of less than 4.5 m. 7. Retaining walls less than 4.5 m high. 8. Landscaping, parks, refuse dumps. 9. Telephone and telegraph lines and underground cables, coaxial cables. 10. Mobile plant. 11. A pole. 12. A tower less than 10 m high. 13. Electrical work involving a substation.

Type of building or structure 1. A trench less than 1.5 m in depth and its contents. 2. A trench which no person is required to enter, and its contents. PART 4 Type of project Construction, erection, digging, filling, additions, alterations, repair, cleaning, painting, renewal. Type of building or structure Where plant is already installed, the installation of additional plant (other than mobile plant) where the final price at practical completion of the project is less than $250 000. PART 5 Type of project Construction, erection, additions, installation, repair, cleaning, painting renewal, dismantling, alterations.
