s1 2 s4 Workplace Health and Safety (Industry Codes of No. 30, 2004 Practice) Amendment Notice (No. 1) 2004 1 Short title This notice may be cited as the Workplace Health and Safety (Industry Codes of Practice) Amendment Notice (No. 1) 2004 . 2 Commencement This notice commences on 1 April 2004. 3 Notice amended This notice amends the Workplace Health and Safety (Industry Codes of Practice) Notice 1999. 4 Amendment of sch 2 (Amended industry codes of practice) Schedule 2, after the second entry for the Compressed Air Recreational Diving and Recreational Snorkelling Industry Code of Practice 2000— insert— ‘The Compressed Air Recreational Diving and Recreational Snorkelling Industry Code of Practice 2000 has been further amended, including by inserting advice to be given about— (a) recreational snorkelling being a strenuous activity, even in calm conditions; and (b) recommending that older persons— (i) snorkel in buddy pairs and in an area that allows the lookout or snorkelling supervisor to offer close supervision; and (ii) wear a flotation device that supports the wearer in a relaxed state. The amendment commences on 1 April 2004.’.
