This regulation may be cited as the Workplace Health and Safety Amendment Regulation (No. 3) 1999 . PART 2—AMENDMENT OF WORKPLACE HEALTH AND SAFETY REGULATION 1997 ˙ Regulation amended in pt 2 2. This part amends the Workplace Health and Safety Regulation 1997 . ˙ Amendment of s 98 (Labelling containers) 3. Section 98(2), example, ‘ (2)(b) ’— omit, insert — ‘ (2)(c) ’. ˙ Amendment of s 103 (Labelling containers) 4. Section 103(2), example, ‘ (3) ’— omit, insert — ‘ (2)(b) ’. ˙ Insertion of new s 169 5. After section 168— insert —

s6 3 s6 Workplace Health and Safety Amendment No. 276, 1999 (No. 3) ˙ ‘ Suspended operation of pt 12, div 4 and pt 12A ‘ 169.(1) Part 12, division 4 and part 12A do not have effect from the commencement of this section until 1 February 2000. ‘ (2) This section expires at the end of 1 February 2000.’. ˙ Amendment of sch 9 (Dictionary) 6.(1) Schedule 9, definitions “approved criteria” and “designated hazardous substance” — omit. (2) Schedule 9— insert — ‘ “approved criteria” means— (a) until the end of 30 April 2001—the criteria stated in NOHSC’s document entitled ‘Approved Criteria for Classifying Hazardous Substances [NOHSC:1008 (1994)]’; and (b) from 1 May 2001—the criteria stated in NOHSC’s document entitled ‘Approved Criteria for Classifying Hazardous Substances [NOHSC:1008 (1999)]’. “designated hazardous substance” means— (a) until the end of 30 April 2001—a substance, listed as a designated hazardous substance in NOHSC’s document entitled ‘List of Designated Hazardous Substances [NOHSC:10005 (1994)]’; and (b) from 1 May 2001—a substance, listed as a designated hazardous substance in NOHSC’s document entitled ‘List of Designated Hazardous Substances [NOHSC:10005 (1999)]’.’.
