s1 2 s5 Workplace Health and Safety Amendment Regulation No. 100, 2001 (No. 1) 2001 1 Short title This regulation may be cited as the Workplace Health and Safety Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2001 . 2 Regulation amended This regulation amends the WorkplaceHealthandSafetyRegulation 1997. 3 Insertion of new s 3A After section 3— insert — ‘3A References to standards ‘Unless otherwise stated, a reference in this regulation to an Australian Standard or to a standard published jointly by Standards Australia and Standards New Zealand is a reference to the standard as in force at 1 November 1997.’. 4 Amendment of s 68 (What is “excessive noise”) Section 68(2)(a), ‘AS 1269;’— omit, insert— ‘AS/NZS 1269.1, as in force at 5 March 1998; 1 ’. 5 Amendment of s 167 (Rural industry exemption) Section167— insert — ‘ (1A) On and from 1 February 2002, an employer or self-employed person in rural industry must also comply with part 10.’. 1 Australian Standard AS/NZS 1269.1—Measurement and assessment of noise imission and exposure.
