Queensland Workplace Health and Safety Amendment Act 2000 Act No. 33 of 2000 An Act to amend the Workplace Health and Safety Act 1995 [Assented to 4 September 2000]

s1 4 s3 Workplace Health and Safety Amendment No. 33, 2000 The Parliament of Queensland enacts— ˙ Short title 1. This Act may be cited as th e Workplace Health and Safety Amendment Act 2000 . ˙ Act amended 2. This Act amends th e Workplace Health and Safety Act 1995 . ˙ Amendment of s 38 (Regulations) 3. Section 38— insert— ‘ (5) A regulation may prescribe fees payable under this Act. ‘ (6) The provisions of th e Workplace Health and Safety Regulation 1997 as made and as amended from time to time prescribing fees payable under this Act are taken to be, and always to have been, as validly made as they would be, or would have been, if this Act had always authorised the Governor in Council to make a regulation prescribing fees payable under this Act. ‘ (7) Without limiting subsection (5) or (6), the power to make a regulation to prescribe fees payable includes, and is declared to have always included, the power to prescribe fees payable for the following— (a) notification of building and construction work; (b) registrations, including registrations for registrable workplaces and registrable plant; (c) certifications, including certifications for prescribed occupations; (d) appointments, including appointments as accredited providers.’. © State of Queensland 2000
