s1 2 s3 Workplace Health and Safety (Advisory Standards) No. 8, 2002 Amendment Notice (No. 1) 2002 1 Short title This notice may be cited as the Workplace Health and Safety (Advisory Standards) Amendment Notice (No. 1) 2002 . 2 Notice amended This notice amends the Workplace Health and Safety (Advisory Standards) Notice 1998. 3 Insertion of new ss 4 and 5 After section 3— insert— ‘4 Noise Advisory Standard 1999 amended ‘ (1) The Noise Advisory Standard 1999 1 has been amended, including by changing the measurement of peak noise from an unweighted (linear) peak sound pressure level, L peak , to a C-weighted peak sound pressure level, L C,peak . ‘ (2) The amendment takes effect on 1 February 2003. ‘ (3) This section expires on 2 February 2003. ‘5 Personal Protective Equipment in Building and Construction Work Advisory Standard 1999 amended ‘ (1) The Personal Protective Equipment in Building and Construction Work Advisory Standard 1999 2 has been amended by replacing references to AS 1270:1988 - Acoustics - Hearing protectors with references to AS 1270:1999 - Acoustics - Hearing protectors. 1 The amended advisory standard is available on the department’s website at or may be purchased from Goprint, 371 Vulture Street, Woolloongabba, 4102. 2 The amended advisory standard is available on the department’s website at or may be purchased from Goprint, 371 Vulture Street, Woolloongabba, 4102.
