Workers’ Compensation Regulations2 (Amendment)
The Australian Capital Territory Executive hereby makes the following Regulations under the Workers’ Compensation Act 1951.

Commencement
1. (1) This regulation and regulation 2 commence on the day on which these Regulations are notified in the Gazette.
(2) The remaining provisions commence on the day on which section 5 of the Workers’ Compensation (Amendment) Act 1991 commences.
Principal Regulations
2. In these Regulations, “Principal Regulations” means the Workmen’s Compensation Regulations.
Citation
3. Regulation 1 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting “Workmen’s” and substituting “Workers’ ”.
Interpretation
4. Regulation 2 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting from subregulation (2) “Workmen’s” and substituting “Workers’ ”.
Claim by worker
5. Regulation 3 of the Principal Regulations is amended—
(a)by omitting “workman” and substituting “worker”; and
(b)by omitting “under the Act”.
Claim by dependant
6. Regulation 4 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting “under the Act”.
Frequency of medical examinations
7. Regulation 7 of the Principal Regulations is amended—
(a)by omitting “workman” and substituting “worker”;
(b)by inserting “or herself” after “himself”; and
(c)by omitting “paragraph 10 of the First Schedule” and substituting “clause 10 of Schedule 1”.
Repeal
8. Regulations 8, 9 and 11 are repealed.
Witnesses to declarations
9. Regulation 12 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting “legally qualified”.
Schedule 1
10. Schedule 1 to the Principal Regulations is amended as set out in the Schedule.
