ACT 1992 No. 36—PROCLAMATION

I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAR, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Workers Compensation Legislation (Amendment) Act

1992, do, by this my Proclamation:

(a)

appoint 30 June 1992 as the day on which that Act commences (except as provided by paragraph (b)); and

(b)

appoint 1 July 1992 as the day on which section 4 of, and Schedule 2 to, that Act commence.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Proclamation commences the amendments contained in the Workers Compensation Legislation (Amendment) Act 1992 to the Workers Compensation Act 1987 on 30 June 1992. Those amendments relate to the statutory funds of licensed insurers. It commences the amendments to the Workers’ Compensation (Dust Diseases) Act 1942 which increase benefits under that Act on 1 July 1992.
