Workers Compensation (Indexation of

Amounts) Amendment Order 2016

under the

Workers Compensation Act 1987

I, the Minister for Innovation and Better Regulation, in pursuance of sections 82A and 82BA of the Workers Compensation Act 1987, make the following Order.

Explanatory note
The objects of this Order are:

(a) to notify the number that equates to the factor ---- used in the formula for calculating the variation of
the weekly payment to be paid to a worker under section 82A of the Workers Compensation Act C

1987. That section provides that weekly payments are to be varied on 1 April and 1 October in each

year, and

(b) to notify the amount that is to apply as the minimum amount of weekly payments of compensation

payable for workers with highest needs under section 38A of the Workers Compensation Act 1987.

Section 82BA of that Act provides that the amount is to be varied on 1 April and 1 October in each year.

This Order is made under sections 82A (4) and 82BA (3) of the Workers Compensation Act 1987.

1      Name of Regulation

This Order is the Workers Compensation (Indexation of Amounts) Amendment Order
2016.

2      Commencement

This Order commences on 1 October 2016 and is required to be published on the
NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Workers Compensation (Indexation of Amounts) Order 2013

(1) Clause 4 Variation of weekly payments
