Act N o . 133 , 1978 .

An Act to amend the definition of "Medical treatment" in section 10 (2) of the Workers' Compensation Act, 1926, to include treatment by a registered chiropractor or osteopath. [Assented to, 21st December, 1978.1

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :—

1. This Act may be cited as the "Workers' Compensation (Chiropractic) Amendment Act, 1978".

2. (1) This section and section 1 shall commence on the date of assent to this Act.

(2) Except as provided in subsection ( 1 ) , this Act shall commence on the day appointed and notified under section 2 ( 3 ) of the Chiropractic Act, 1978.

3. The Workers' Compensation Act, 1926, is amended by inserting in the definition of "Medical treatment" in section 10 (2) after the word "physiotherapist," the words "a registered chiropractor or osteopath,".
