WORKERS' COMPENSATION BOARD AMENDMENT RULES 1990

Made by the Chairman of the Workers' Compensation Board
Citation

1. These rules may be cited as the Workers' Compensation Board Amendment

immediately after the word "Chairman" the words "or the Registrar".

Principal Rules

2.In these rules the Workers' Compensation Board Rules 1982* are referred to

as the principal rules.
Rule 2 amended

3.The principal rules are amended by inserting in Rule 2 a new definition

immediately after the definition of "agent" in the following terms:
"'Chairman' means the Chairman of the Workers' Compensation Board and,
except in rule 53 (1), includes the Deputy Chairman and also includes a person
appointed to act in the place and/or during the absence of the Chairman or
Deputy Chairman."
Rule 3 (2) amended

4.The principal rules are amended by inserting in rule 3 subrule (2) in line 2

thereof immediately after the word "Chairman" the words "or the Registrar".
Rule 23 amended

5.The principal rules are amended by substituting for the comma at the end

of rule 23 paragraph (ii) the following:

or

(iii)pending hearing of an application for review of a decision by the Registrar on a matter delegated to the Registrar pursuant to subsection (30) of section 112 of the Act."

Rule 29 amended

6.The principal rules are amended by inserting in rule 29 in line 2 thereof

Rule 34 amended

7. The principal rules are amended by deleting the heading to rule 34 and

inserting in lieu thereof the following:

"Referral by Registrar".

Rule 46 amended

8. The principal rules are amending by deleting from rule 46 the word

"Chairman" occurring in line 2 and inserting in lieu thereof the word

"Registrar".
