1989 No. 133—PROCLAMATION

I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, Governor of the State of New

South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 (1) of the Workers Compensation (Benefits) Amendment Act 1989, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 25 May 1992 as the day on which the following provisions of that Act commence:

(a)

Schedule 4 (4)–(7) and (11) (and section 3 in its application to those provisions);

(b)

Schedule 9 (2) and (5) (and section 4 in its application to those provisions);

(c)

Schedule 10 (1) (a) (and section 5 in its application to that provision).

EXPLANATORY NOTE
The object of this Proclamation is to commence amendments (relating to

occupational rehabilitation services) contained in the Workers Compensation (Benefits) Amendment Act 1989 to the Workers Compensation Act 1987, the Workers Compensation (Bush Fire, Emergency and Rescue Services) Act 1987 and the Workers’ Compensation (Dust Diseases) Act 1942. As a result of the proclamation all the amendments made by the Workers Compensation (Benefits) Amendment Act 1989 have now commenced. Note that the amendments contained in Schedule 5 to that Act were repealed by Act No. 214 of 1989 and the amendment contained in Schedule 9 (7) (b) to that Act was repealed by Act No. 94
of 1991.
