An Act to amend the Workers’ Compensation and Rehabilitation (Acts of Terrorism) Act 2001.

[Assented to 20 November 2002]

The Parliament of Western Australia enacts as follows:

1.             Short title

This Act may be cited as the Workers’ Compensation and Rehabilitation (Acts of Terrorism) Amendment Act 2002.

2.             Commencement

This Act comes into operation on the day on which it receives

the Royal Assent.

3.             The Act amended

The amendments in this Act are to the Workers’ Compensation

and Rehabilitation (Acts of Terrorism) Act 2001*.

4.             Section 3 amended

Section 3 is amended in the definition of “final day” as follows:

(a)

in paragraph (a) by deleting “an earlier” and inserting instead —

“ another ”;

(b)

by deleting paragraph (b) and inserting the following paragraph instead —

(b)

a day prescribed by regulation as the final day;

”.

5.             Section 3A inserted

After section 3 the following section is inserted —

3A.

Prescription of “final day”

The Governor may make regulations prescribing a day

other than 31 December 2003 to be the “final day”.
