Workers' Compensation and Injury
Management Amendment Regulations 2007
Made by the Governor in Executive Council.
1. Citation
These regulations are the Workers' Compensation and Injury
Management Amendment Regulations 2007.2. Commencement
These regulations come into operation as follows:
(a) regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published in the Gazette ("Gazettal day"); (b) the rest of the regulations — on the day after Gazettal day. 3. "I he regulations amended

The amendments in these regulations are to the Workers'
Compensation and Injury Management Regulations 1982.4. Regulation 17A replaced
Regulation 17A is repealed and the following regulation is inserted instead —

17A. Supplementary amount (1) The supplementary amount referred to in the
Schedule 5 clause 1 of the Act is —(a) for the period up to and including
30 June 2008 —
(i) in relation to a worker with a dependant
spouse or dependant de facto partner, or

(ii) in relation to a worker without a
dependant spouse or dependant de facto
partner, $128;
and
(b) for a financial year commencing on or after
1 July 2008, in accordance with section 5A of
the Act, the amount obtained by —(i) varying the amount applying at the end of the preceding financial year by the percentage by which the March CPI varies from the previous March CPI; and
(ii) rounding the amount to the nearest whole number of cents (with an amount that is 0.5 of a cent being rounded off to the next highest whole number of cents).
(2) In this regulation —
"March CPI" for a financial year, means the index
number for the quarter ending on the last 31 March
before the financial year commences, as shown in
the Consumer Price Index Numbers (All Groups
Index) for Perth published by the Commonwealth
Statistician under the Commonwealth Census andStatistics Act 1905.
