Workers Compensation Act 1951

  1. Name of regulations

    These regulations are the Workers Compensation Amendment Regulations 2004 (No 1).

  2. Commencement

    These regulations commence on the day after their notification day.

    NoteThe naming and commencement provisions automatically commence on the notification day (see Legislation Act, s 75 (1)).

  3. Legislation amended

    These regulations amend the Workers Compensation Regulations 2002.

  4. Regulation 87 (2) (b) (iii)

    substitute

    (iii)be able to comply with the employer’s duties under the Occupational Health and Safety Act 1989, part 3 (which is about duties for occupational health and safety); and

    (iv)comply with the conditions on the exemption; and

  5. New regulation 87 (2) (c)

    insert

    (c)the proposed exemption will not adversely affect the operation of the workers compensation scheme under the Act.
