Her Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Workplace Injury Management and Workers Compensation Act 1998.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to allow the WorkCover Authority to disclose information obtained in connection with the administration or execution of the workers compensation legislation to the Long Service Corporation. Information may only be disclosed for the purpose of ensuring that the Long Service Corporation has names and contact details for contract cleaning industry employers.

This Regulation is made under the Workplace Injury Management and Workers Compensation Act 1998, including sections 243 (2) (d) and 248 (the general regulation-making power).

Information) Regulation 2012

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Workers Compensation Amendment (Disclosure of Information) Regulation 2012.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the
NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Workers Compensation Regulation 2010

Clause 178A

Insert after clause 178:

178A Disclosure of information to Long Service Corporation:
sec 243 (2) (d) of the 1998 Act
(1) The Authority may disclose details of contract cleaning industry employers, obtained in connection with the administration or execution of the workers compensation legislation, to the Long Service Corporation.
(2) Disclosure under this clause is allowed only for the purpose of ensuring that the Long Service Corporation has names and contact details of contract cleaning industry employers.
(3) In this clause:
contract cleaning industry employer means an employer
within the meaning of the Contract Cleaning Industry
(Portable Long Service Leave Scheme) Act 2010.
Long Service Corporation means the Long Service
Corporation constituted under the Long Service
Corporation Act 2010.
