THE WORKERS' COMPENSATION ACTS [A.SSENTED TO 29TH A.PRIL, 1943]. AMENDMENT ACT OF 1943. B- - E it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows : - 1. (1.) This Act may be cited as "The Workers' Short title Oompensation Acts Amendment Act of 1943," and shall be : ~ truction read as one with *" The Workers' Oompensation Acts, . 1916 to 1941," herein referred to as the Principal Act. (2.) The Principal Act and this Act may collectively C:ollective be cited as "The Workers' Oompensation Acts, 1916 to tItle. 1943." Amendments of the Principal Act. 2. Provision (B) of subsection one ofsection fourteen Amendment of the Principal Act is amended , as follows . • _ o (B f ) s . . 14 (1) (a) In paragraph (a) the words "three pounds" are repealed, and the words "three pounds and three shillings" are inserted in lieu thereof. (b) In paragraph (b) the words "three pounds" are repealed and the words "three pounds and three shillings" are inserted in lieu thereof; also the words " two pounds" are repealed and the words " two pounds and two shillings " are inserted in lieu thereof. (c) A new paragraph (c 1) is inserted after proviso (c), as follows:- "(cl.) For the wife of the injured worker if she is 1 lotally or mainly dependent on his earnings, °44- ~ ~ e sum of taB sti:iYw.gs per week shall be payable during the disablement of the worker or until a lump sum settlement has been made with the worker in respect of the accident." (d) Paragraph (d) is amended by repealing the words "eight shillings" and by inserting the words "ten shillings" in lieu thereof. '" 6 G. 5 No. 35 and amending Acts. See v. 4. pp. 834 et Bsq.
