WORKERS COMPENSATION ACT 1987 – REGULATION
(Relating to the indexation of amounts of benefits)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Workers Compensation Act 1987, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

Commencement
1. This Regulation commences on 1 April 1990.
Amendment
2. The Workers Compensation (General) Regulation 1987 is
amended:
| (a) | by omitting the Table to clause 9A and by inserting instead the following Table: |

The objects of this Regulation are:
(a) to increase, from 1 April 1990, the basic rate of weekly workers compensation by way of income support during the first 26 weeks in the case of workers not covered by awards (clause 2 (a)); and (b) to prescribe an index number for the purposes of the indexation of workers compensation benefits payable, and of entitlements to damages in respect of injuries received, from 1 April 1990 (clause 2 (b)).
