WORKERS COMPENSATION ACT 1987—REGULATION

(Relating to ministers of religion)

NEW SOUTH WALES

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and at the request of the Assemblies of God New South Wales, the Church of Christ (Non-denominational)-Bankstown and the Fellowship of Congregational Churches, and in pursuance of the Workers Compensation Act 1987, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

Commencement

1. This Regulation commences on 1 September 1994.

Amendment
2. The Workers Compensation (General) Regulation 1987 is amended

by inserting in Schedule 4, in appropriate order, the following matters:

Assemblies of God New Ministers serving a The Assembly of the

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to provide that certain ministers of religion of the Assemblies of God New South Wales, the Church of Christ (Non-denominational)— Bankstown and the Fellowship of Congregational Churches are taken to be workers for the purposes of the Workers Compensation Act 1987. This Regulation is made at the request of those bodies under clause 17 of Schedule 1 (deemed employment of workers) to the Workers Compensation Act 1987.
