WORKERS COMPENSATION ACT 1987—REGULATION

(Relating to ministers of religion)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and at the request of the Diocese of Grafton of the Anglican Church of Australia, and in pursuance of the Workers Compensation Act 1987, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

Commencement

1. This Regulation takes effect on 1 March 1991.

Amendment

2. The Workers Compensation (General) Regulation 1987 is amended by inserting in Schedule 4, in alphabetical order, the following matter:

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to mend the Workers Compensation (General) Regulation 1984 to provide that certain ministers of religion of the Anglican Church in Grafton are taken to be workers for the purposes of workers compensation.
