WORKCOVER LEGISLATION AMENDMENT ACT 1997—

PROCLAMATION

(L.S.) GORDON SAMUELS, Governor.

I, the Honourable Gordon Samuels AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the WorkCover Legislation Amendment Act 1997, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 January 1998 as the day on which Schedule l [26]-[28] to that Act commence.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Proclamation is to commence certain provisions of the WorkCover

Legislation Amendment Act 1997 that amend the Workers Compensation Act 1987 in

relation to weekly compensation payments to certain coal miners.
