WORKCOVER LEGISLATION AMENDMENT ACT 1995—

PROCLAMATION
NEW SOUTH WALES

P. R. SINCLAIR, Governor.

I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, A.C., Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 (1) of the WorkCover Legislation Amendment Act 1995, do, by this my Proclamation appoint the following days as the days on which the following provisions of that Act commence:

The Act, except the Schedules to the Act, to commence on 20

December 1995.

Schedule 1 [112] to commence on 20 December 1995.

Schedule 1 [70] to commence on 1 February 1996.

All other uncommenced provisions of Schedule 1 to commence on l

January 1996, except the following provisions of that Schedule:

So much of item [6] as inserts section 11A (2) of the Workers
Compensation Act 1987.
So much of item [43] as inserts section 94A (5) and (6) of the
Workers Compensation Act 1987.

Items [49], [50] and [78].

Schedule 2 to commence on 1 February 1996.

Schedule 3 [4]–[10], [21]–[23] and [25]–[28] to commence on 1

January 1996.

Schedule 3 [3], [11]–[20], [24] and so much of item [29] as inserts clause 7 of Part 4 of Schedule 4 to the Compensation Court Act 1984 to commence on 1 February 1996.

Schedules 4–7 to commence on 1 February 1996.
Schedule 8.1, 8.2 and 8.6 to commence on 1 January 1996.

Schedule 8.3, 8.4 and 8.5 to commence on 1 February 1996.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Proclamation is to commence provisions of the Workcover
Legislation Amendment Act 1995 on various dates from the date of assent (20

December 1995) to 1 February 1996, with the exception of the following provisions:

So much of Schedule 1 [6] as inserts section 11A (2) of the Workers Compensation

Act 1987.

So much of Schedule 1 [43] as inserts section 94A (5) and (6) of the Workers

Compensation Act 1987.

Schedule l [49], [50] and [78].

Schedule 3 [l] and [2] and so much of item [29] as inserts clause 8 of Part 4 of

Schedule 4 to the Compensation Court Act 1984.
