Wool Industry (Sampling Sites) Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Wool Industry Act 1972.

1. After regulation 9 of the Wool Industry (Sampling Sites) Regulations the following regulation is inserted:

Operator to keep records

“9a. (1) The operator of a registered sampling site shall keep a record of the number of lots of wool from which core samples were drawn on that site in a financial year, being samples of wool that are suitable for testing for the purpose of the issue of I.W.T.O. Certificates.

“(2) The operator shall forward to the Secretary by 31 July immediately following the end of a financial year a copy of the record referred to in sub-regulation (1) kept in relation to that financial year.”.

Fees

2. Regulation 12 of the Wool Industry (Sampling Sites) Regulations is amended by omitting paragraph (3) (a) and substituting the following paragraph:

“(a) the amount calculated by multiplying the sum of 62 cents by the number of lots of wool from which core samples were drawn during

the financial year at the site, being samples of wool that were suitable for testing for the purpose of the issue of I.W.T.O. Certificates; or”.

Cancellation of registration

3. Regulation 13 of the Wool Industry (Sampling Sites) Regulations is amended by adding “or regulation 9a” at the end of paragraph (1) (a).

Notice of registration &c.

4. Regulation 15 of the Wool Industry (Sampling Sites) Regulations is amended by omitting from sub-regulations (2) and (3) “and to the Authority”.
