AN ACT to amend the Wood Distillation and
Charcoal Iron and Steel Industry Act, 1943.

RE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent
Majesty, by and with the advice and consent
of the Legislative Council and the Legislative
Assembly of Western Australia, in this present
Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the
same, as follows:—
Short title
and citation.
1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Wood Distillation and Charcoal Iron and Steel Industry Act Amendment Act, 1972.
(2) In this Act the Wood Distillation and Char- coal Iron and Steel Industry Act, 1943 is referred to as the principal Act.

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the Wood Distillation and Charcoal Iron and Steel Industry Act, 1943-1972.
| S. 20A added | 2. The principal Act is amended by adding after |
section 20 the following section-

| borrow | 20A. (1) For the purposes of carrying out its powers and functions under this Act, the Board is authorised with the prior approval in writing of the Minister and the Treasurer to borrow money upon such terms and conditions only as the Treasurer approves. |

| (2) The Treasurer on behalf of the State is hereby authorised to guarantee, on such terms and conditions as he thinks fit, repayment of any money borrowed by the Board under this section and the payment of interest thereon. | |
| (3) The Treasurer shall cause any money required for fulfilling any guarantee given by him pursuant to this section, to be paid out of the Public Account which Account is hereby to the necessary extent appropriated accord- ingly, and the Treasurer shall cause any sums received or recovered by him from the Board or otherwise in respect of a sum so paid by the Treasurer to be paid into the Public Account. . |
