Wollongong Water Supply Works.
Works for the Borough of Wollongong (such works to provide for extension to Port Kemhla on the south, and towards Bulli on the north): And whereas, on the passing of the said resolution, a statutory duty was by the said Act imposed on the Secretary for Public Works to introduce a Bill into the said Assembly to sanction the carrying out of the said work: Be it therefore enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
| Incorporation and | 1. This Act shall be construed with the Country Towns Water and Sewerage Act of 1880, the Country Towns Water and Sewerage Act Extension Act of 1887, and so much of the Country Towns and Hunter District Water Supply and Sewerage Acts Amendment Act of 1894 as amends the Acts abovementioned, and may be cited as the “ Wollongong Water Supply Works Act, 1900.” |

| Work sanctioned. | 2. | The carrying out of the said work (more particularly described |
in the Schedule to this Act) is hereby sanctioned; and the Secretary for Public Works, or the Member of the Executive Council for the time being performing the duties of the said Secretary, is hereby authorised to undertake and carry out the said work subject to the provisions of this Act.

Cost, how to be
| defrayed. | 4. The cost of carrying out the work hereby sanctioned, estimated at Twenty-five thousand two hundred and eleven pounds, may be defrayed from such Loan Votes as are now or may hereafter be applic able thereto, and the Borough of Wollongong shall not under any circumstances be held liable for a sum exceeding the estimated cost by more than ten per centum. |

| Country Towns | 5. Any work sanctioned by and completed under the authority Water and Sewerage Act of 1880, and of any enactment amending the same, be deemed to be works authorised and completed by the Governor within the meaning of section one hundred and twenty-four of the said Act. |

Pastures and Stock Protection (Rabbit).

1. A concrete duni across the Cataract River to form a storafre reservoir with a capacity of one hundred and sixty-eight million gallons.
2. About eight and one-third miles of ton-inch and six-inch steel main to the service reservoir and towards Port Kembla.
3. A concrete service reservoir with a capacity of four hundred thousand gallons.
4. About one mile of eight-inch pipe to the town.
5. About ton and one-sixth miles of six-inch, four-inch, and three-inch reticidation
pipes and hydrants.

I n lieu of taking the pipe through a tunnel and tlienee rid Mount Kemhla and Fig Tree Village, 8B submitted to the I’uhlie \Vorks ('ommittee, the ])laii and seheilule provide for leading the pipe line from the dam via the Cordeaux and Kemhla (h'eek Valleys to Odirien's Gap, and then in a direct lino to Wollongong.
