.HEREAS, by a certain Ordinance passed on the seventeenth

Be it Enacted by the Governor of South A~xatralia, with the
scale or Fees toba
advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, That from dteru'*
and after the passing of this Act, the Supreme Court shall be em-
powered to order payment to any Prosecutor or Witness in any of
the cases in the said Ordinance mentioned of the compens a t' ion
hereinafter provided in lieu of the compensation by such Ordinance
provided; that is to say, for every such I'rosecutor or Witness the
sum of T h e e Shillings and Sixpencc for every day such person
shall duly attend the Court, until he shall be discharged, and the
further sum of Sixpence per mile for every mile beyond five miles
that any such person shall reside from the Court: Provided that
if any such person shall be under the age of twelve years, the com-
pensation to be paid to such persoon shall be Two Shillings for
each day, and one half of the aforesaid allowance fbr mileage: And
provided also, that such Court may allow

Practitioner attending as a Medical Witness a fee of One Guinea for every day my such last-mentioned Witness may attend under any s u b p ~ n a or recognizance on behalf of the Crown, and may also allow for any
duly qualified Interpreter attendingas witness, such

Crown, as such Court may deem reasonable.
Supreme Court aforesaid to d o w to any Prosecutor or Witness, |
Rivoli Bays. Bay, the sum of Five Pounds, in the place of the sum of Sixpence
per mile hereinbefore directed to be allowed for the passage of such
person fiom any of the places aforesaid.
