| thereof the following section shall be and is hereby substituted :- " No person of the female sex who, being of the age of thirty years or more, is a. widow or a married woman living apart or divorced from her husband shall be disqualified to hold a publican's general license, or a wine and beer license, by reason only of her sex. | |
| " Provided always that no such license shall be held by or granted to a woman whose husband holds such a license, or shall be held by or granted to a man if his wife holds such a license." |

[Tines, Beer, and Spirit Sale Act—Amendment.
Definition of 3. A PERSON shall not be deemed to be a bona fide traveller
" traveller." unless the place where he lodged during the preceding night was at least three miles distant from the place where he demands to be supplied with liquor, such distance to be calculated by the nearest public thoroughfare.
