Wildlife (Game) (Ducks - Open Season) Regulations

1996

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1. Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the times for the opening and closing of the duck season.

2. Authorising provisions

These Regulations are made under section 87 of the Wildlife Act 1975.

3. Amendment of Second Schedule

In Part 2 of the Second Schedule of the 1Wildlife
(Game) Regulations 1990 under the heading

“Close Season”, for—

“From sunset on the second Monday in June in each
year until 0630 hours (Eastern Standard Time) east of
the line of longitude at 146030” east, 0640 hours
(Eastern Standard Time) between the line of longitude
at 146030” east and the line of longitude at 142030”
east and 0650 hours (Eastern Standard Time) west of

Saturday in March next following.”

substitute—

“From sunset on the second Monday in June in each year until 0710 hours (Daylight Saving Time) east of the line of longitude at 146030” east, 0720 hours
(Daylight Saving Time) between the line of longitude
at 146030” east and the line of longitude at 142030”
east and 0730 hours (Daylight Saving Time) west of
the line of longitude at 142030” east, on the third

Saturday in March next following.”.

4. Amendment of Third Schedule

In Part 2 of the Third Schedule of the 2Wildlife
(Game) Regulations 1990 under the heading

“Open Season”, for—

“From 0630 hours (Eastern Standard Time) east of	the line of longitude at 146030” east, 0640 hours
at 146030” east and the line of longitude at 142030” east and 0650 hours (Eastern Standard Time) west of the line of longitude at 142030” east, on the third
(Eastern Standard Time) between the line of longitude second Monday in June in each year.”
substitute—
“From 0710 hours (Daylight Saving Time) east of the line of longitude at 146030” east, 0720 hours
at 146030” east and the line of longitude at 142030” east and 0730 hours (Daylight Saving Time) west of the line of longitude at 142030” east, on the third
(Daylight Saving Time) between the line of longitude second Monday in June in each year.”.
