Wildlife (Game) Amendment Regulations 2014

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to make consequential amendments to the Wildlife (Game) Regulations 2012 as a result of the commencement of the Game Management Authority Act 2014.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 87 of the Wildlife Act 1975.

3Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 1 July 2014.

4Principal Regulations

In these Regulations, the Wildlife (Game) Regulations 2012[1] are called the Principal Regulations.

5Definitions

In regulation 5 of the Principal Regulations—

(a)in the definition of registered hound, for "Secretary" substitute "Game Management Authority";

(b)in the definition of Sambar Deer Hunting with Hounds Test, for "Secretary" substitute "Game Management Authority";

(c)in the definition of Waterfowl Identification Test, for "Secretary" substitute "Game Management Authority".

6Division 1 of Part 2 amended

(1)In regulation 6(1) and (2) of the Principal Regulations, for "Secretary" substitute "Game Management Authority".

73Authorisations given by Secretary

An authorisation given by the Secretary under regulation 38(2), 42(2), 54(2), 59
or 60 as in force immediately before the commencement of the Wildlife (Game) Amendment Regulations 2014 continues to have effect in accordance with the terms of that authorisation unless sooner revoked by the Game Management Authority or surrendered.
