WILD DOG DESTRUCTION (AMENDMENT)

An Act to amend section 18 of the Wild Dog Destruction Act, 1921, to increase the maximum annual subsidy payable to the Wild Dog Destruction Fund. [Assented to, 17th March, 1977.]

Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1.     This Act may be cited as the "Wild Dog Destruction

(Amendment) Act, 1977".

2. The Wild Dog Destruction Act, 1921, is amended by

omitting section 18 and by inserting instead the following
section :—

18. (1) Commencing in the year 1977, in each year there shall be paid from the Consolidated Revenue Fund to the Wild Dog Destruction Fund established under this Act, without further appropriation than this Act, a sum equal to the amount of the rates collected under this Act during the preceding year or the sum of $80,000, whichever is the lesser.

(2) In respect of the year 1977 the sum payable under subsection (1) shall be reduced by any sum paid for that year under this section as in force before the commencement of the Wild Dog Destruction (Amendment) Act, 1977.
