Wheat Pool Act and Another Act Amendment Act 1986, No. 53 781 BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- PART I-PRELIMINARY 1. Short title . This Act may be cited as the Wheat Pool Act and Another Act Amendment Act 1986. 2. Arrangement of Act. This Act is divided into Parts as follows:- PART I-PRELIMINARY (ss. 1-2); PART II-AMENDMENT OF WHEAT POOL ACT 1920-1984 (ss. 3-4); PART III-AMENDMENT OF WHEAT MARKETING ACT 1984 (ss. 5-6). PART II-AMENDMENT OF WHEAT POOL ACT 1920-1984 3. Citation . (1) In this Part the Wheat Pool Act 1920-1984 is referred to as the Principal Act. (2) The Principal Act as amended by this Part may be cited as the Wheat Pool Act 1920-1986. 4. Amendment of s. 4A. General powers of Board . Section 4A of the Principal Act is amended by- (a) omitting from the end of subparagraph (iv) the expression "." and substituting the expression ";"; (b) adding after subparagraph (iv) the following subparagraph:- "(v) Encourage, assist and engage in research and development in connexion with the wheat industry and make grants of funds for that purpose to such persons, bodies or trust funds as are approved by the Minister on such terms and conditions as the Board may deem proper.". PART III-AMENDMENT OF WHEAT MARKETING ACT 1984 5. Citation . (1) In this Part the WheatMarketing Act 1984 is referred to as the Principal Act. (2) The Principal Act as amended by this Part may be cited as the Wheat Marketing Act 1984-1986. 6. Amendment of Schedule . The Schedule to the Principal Act is amended by omitting from the first column the expression "No. 23 of 1984" and substituting the expression "No. 85 of 1984".
