Wheat Pool Act Amendment Act 1983, No. 44 507 BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: - 1. Short title . This Act may be cited as the Wheat Pool Act Amendment Act 1983. 2. Commencement . (1) This section and section 1 shall commence on the day on which this Act is assented to for and on behalf of Her Majesty. (2) Except as provided by subsection (1) this Act shall commence on a day appointed by Proclamation. 3. Principal Act and citation as amended . (1) In this Act the Wheat Pool Act 1920-1979 is referred to as the Principal Act. (2) The Principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the Wheat Pool Act 1920-1983. 4. Amendment of s. 27. Regulations . Section 27 of the Principal Act is amended by in subsection (1) adding after the word " thereof " in paragraph (g) the following words: '' (h) Requiring and empowering the Board to deduct from the amount of a payment that is to be made to a grower by the Board the amount of any toll or levy that, pursuant to any Act, may lawfully be imposed on the wheat of that grower and to remit the same in accordance with the prescribed conditions to the person or body entitled to receive the toll or levy under that Act ".
